Being a small business owner can be completely frustrating at times. Yes it can be exhilarating, it can be a lovely pastime and it can satisfy, but let’s look at the flipside. It comes with its own set of challenges, that test your sanity and takes patience, courage, long hours in front of the laptop, and missing many social events, to rise above and stay on course.
Many have started their own business as a hobby, to further pursue a passion, for the convenience and flexibility with time, amidst other reasons. Do share why you started your business by commenting on this post, we’d love to know.
There are 4.7 million small businesses in the UK according to the Federation of Small Businesses, and the number steadily rising as of 2014. As more people turn to self employment, they find themselves having to wear many hats to successfully manage their business. As a small business owner, you have to be the accountant, the inspirational leader, the marketing guru, the sales whizz, the receptionist, the strategist, the web developer, the media expert, the employee counsellor and sometimes even the caretaker.
Many small businesses have not been formally trained in these areas. The goal of U Live’s Training Academy is to offer general business training in the hope to increase productivity and as a result revenue.
So who is the training for? If you’re a microbusiness with less than five employees, a small business, and/or a self made business person. U Live’s training focuses specifically on you the business owner.
